Mechanical AND quartz
Unlike pure mechanical specialists we also service the quartz movements Cartier has used in many models — proper battery replacement with gasket check, not just 'battery out, battery in'.

Full overhaul, crystal replacement, water resistance, battery replacement, leather strap care. For Tank Must, Tank Française, Santos Galbée, Ballon Bleu, Panthère, Pasha and other Cartier icons.
Cartier is different. Mechanical and quartz movements under one brand roof, classics from over a century of Parisian watchmaking, materials from steel to rose gold, leather straps that deserve their own service chapter. We know the specifics.
In our Munich workshop we service mechanical Cartier models as well as their quartz siblings. Tank Must, Tank Française, Tank Américaine, Santos Galbée, Santos de Cartier, Ballon Bleu, Panthère, Pasha — each with care for the iconic Cartier aesthetic. Service, maintenance, repair, battery replacement, polishing, cleaning, leather strap care or bracelet work — all in one workshop, with a documented service protocol. Cartier owners from Munich and the surrounding area appreciate the personal handover at our atelier in Grünwald; from anywhere in Europe we accept insured shipping.

Cartier models live from their form: Roman indices, blued hands, fluted crown with cabochon. With every touch on case, crystal or crown we work to preserve the original line.
Original Cartier leather straps with patina we never replace automatically. We treat, oil, replace individual clasp parts — and only if the strap truly no longer carries do we suggest a swap.
Every full overhaul comes with 12 months warranty on the movement — for both mechanical and quartz models. With a documented service protocol.
Cartier has been both watchmaker and jeweller for over a century. That shapes service work: the crown with cabochon, the fluted bezel, the Roman indices, the blued hands — everything is treated as if it were a jewel that also happens to be a watch. With every intervention we ask: does the line stay intact?
Costs vary depending on the model, movement type, condition and scope. A mechanical Tank Française sits on a different scale to a quartz battery replacement on a Must de Cartier — and a crystal swap, a polish, a repair or a leather strap replacement on yet another. A concrete assessment is made after intake inspection. Every estimate is free of charge and without obligation. For a first indication we are reachable in Munich at +49 89 38164962.
Movement opened, cleaned, worn parts replaced, lubricated with manufacture oils, rates re-regulated. For mechanical Tank, Santos and complication models.
Original battery installed, gasket checked and replaced where needed, followed by pressure test. We do not just 'change the battery' — every intervention leaves us sealed and tested.
Sapphire or mineral crystal, replaced to original specification. New gasket, final water resistance test. Including older models with domed crystal.
Cleaning, leather-oil treatment, minor clasp repairs. If a swap is needed: original Cartier leather straps or equivalent premium alternatives, in the colour of your choice.
Pressure testing to manufacturer specification, complete set of new gaskets. Important before summer, swimming, and before any extended period of carefree wear.
Verification against Cartier references: movement, dial, crown with cabochon, bezel, bracelet, clasp. Documentation of all markings and serial number.
Send photos and a brief description. Helmut, our master watchmaker, responds within 24 hours with a professional assessment and a transparent cost range — no obligation.

On the movement side Cartier uses both its own mechanical calibers and externally sourced quartz movements (often ETA). Both get the same standard: original specifications, manufacture oils, documented rates. Vintage Cartier (Cartier Paris, Must de Cartier) we handle with extra caution — the original sigma markings on older dials are untouchable.
You send photos and the reference number by email or phone. We make an initial assessment — including whether quartz or mechanical — and give you a rough scope.
Personal handover at the atelier in Grünwald or insured shipping from anywhere in Europe (UPS, DHL Express, Hermes Premium). Return shipping is included in the service price.

Actual work begins only after your approval. Mechanical revision, quartz service, crystal replacement — every step with original specifications and manufacture oils.
For mechanical movements: rate regulation in five positions, final water resistance test, cleaning. Service protocol and 12 months warranty on the movement.
